1. Determine the location of the controller and its distance to the valve to allow for adequate slack in the 30-foot data cable. Make sure to include a drip loop in the cable at the shower valve connection.
2. Ensure you have a flat area in the final shower surface that is 10 inches wide by 6 inches high to mount the controller.
3. Before installing the controller, make sure the valve has been installed and pressure tested.
4. Remove the data cable retainer and ensure the data cable is secure so it does not fall back into the wall.
5. Ensure the mounting bracket is level on the finished wall.
6. Mark the drill holes with a pencil within the bracket and set the mounting bracket aside.
7. Drill both marked holes using a 3/16" drill bit, making sure to only drill through the finished wall.
8. Apply a bead of silicone caulking within the groove of the mounting bracket.
9. Adhere the mounting bracket to the finished wall, ensuring the data cable goes through the opening of the bracket.
10. Secure the mounting bracket using the provided #6 x 2" mounting screws. Tighten with a Phillips screwdriver, making sure the screwhead is flush or slightly recessed. Do not overtighten.
11. Re-check that the mounting bracket is still level and adjust if necessary. Clean off any excess silicone caulk.
12. Remove and discard the protective cap from the data cable.
13. Attach the controller to the data cable.
14. Feed the cabling connection (data cable and controller) back into the wall through the mounting bracket.
15. Attach the controller to the mounting bracket by pressing it parallel and flush to the wall.
16. Slide the controller down to lock it into place.
17. Ensure the controller is parallel and flush to the wall.
