To install the Delta 9159TV-DST Smart Kitchen Sink Faucet, follow these steps:
1. Read all instructions prior to installation to familiarize yourself with the process.
2. Mount the faucet to the deck by inserting the faucet tubes and shank through the mounting hole in the sink. Place the faucet over the mounting hole, ensuring that the light at the base is facing forward. Secure the faucet to the sink with the mounting bracket and nut. Hand tighten the parts underneath the sink, and then tighten securely using a wrench. Make sure the isolation feature on the bracket is in the sink hole, and ensure that the shank does not touch the edge of the sink.
3. Adjust the position of the faucet above the sink and tighten the locking screws using a Phillips screwdriver. It is recommended to turn the spout tube opposite the handle to balance the assembly when mounting.
4. Optional Escutcheon Installation: If you are using the 10 1/2" escutcheon, place it under the faucet and hand tighten using the escutcheon washers and nuts. Mount it using the mounting bracket and tighten the nut securely by hand, then with a wrench. Finally, tighten the locking screws using a Phillips screwdriver.
5. Check Valve and Custom Fit Connection Installations: Install the check valve assemblies onto your supply stops to ensure proper operation. Insert the ferrule into the supply stop, thread on the check valve, and tighten the nut with a wrench. Repeat for the other supply stop. If the tubing is too long, loop it and tighten the nut with a wrench. Turn on the water and check for leaks. Order RP63263 adapters if needed.
6. Custom Fit Connections: If you need to customize the length of the supply tubing, use the plastic sleeves (ferrules) supplied with the faucet and nuts included on the supply lines. Cut the tubing straight and slide the nut and plastic sleeve onto the cut supply tube. Insert the supply tube into the supply valve connection and slide the plastic sleeve down until it contacts the supply valve connection. Slide the nut over the plastic sleeve and tighten with a wrench. Repeat for the other supply line. Turn on the water and check for leaks.
7. Flush Supply Lines: To flush the supply lines, place a bucket below the outlet fitting and either slowly open and close the supply stops with the valve in mix open position, or with the supply stops open, slowly open and close the handle in the mix position. This will prevent debris from being lodged in the hose and sprayer.
8. Solenoid & Voice Module Installation: Slide the tube into the top solenoid fitting and rotate the clip over the tube and fitting to secure the connection. Slide the module fitting onto the bottom solenoid fitting and rotate the clip over the fittings to secure the connection. Pull down moderately to ensure the connection has been made. Slide the hose weight over the end of the hose. Push the hose end onto the module outlet and attach the clip over the hoses. Push the clip onto the shank to ensure it is tight. Connect the power supply to the electrical outlet under the sink and insert the connector into the input on the solenoid. Connect the cable from the solenoid assembly to the voice module. The green LED will begin blinking within 10 seconds.
9. Check for Leaks: Check all connections for leaks and retighten if necessary. If assembled correctly and still leaking, check for damage to seals and order appropriate replacements. The sprayer can be removed by pulling directly out from the spout. Check the operation of the sprayer by operating the trigger from aerator to spray.
