To use the air frying function on the Ninja OP100 Series Slow Cooker And Air Fryer, follow these steps:
1. Preheat the unit: Before using the air frying function, it is recommended to preheat the unit. Press the Power button to turn on the unit, and then press the Air Crisp button. Set the desired temperature using the Temp/Time arrows. The unit will automatically preheat to the set temperature.
2. Prepare the food: While the unit is preheating, prepare the food you want to air fry. Make sure the food is cut into even-sized pieces for even cooking.
3. Place the food in the cooking pot: Open the lid of the unit and place the food in the cooking pot. Make sure not to overfill the pot, as it may affect the cooking performance.
4. Set the cooking time and temperature: Once the unit is preheated, close the lid and set the desired cooking time and temperature using the Temp/Time arrows. The cooking time and temperature may vary depending on the recipe and the type of food you are air frying. Refer to the cooking chart in the owner's guide for recommended times and temperatures.
5. Start the air frying process: Press the Start/Stop button to start the air frying process. The unit will begin cooking at the set temperature and time. You can check the progress of the cooking by opening the lid during the cooking process.
6. Shake or flip the food (if required): Depending on the recipe or the type of food you are air frying, you may need to shake or flip the food halfway through the cooking process. This helps to ensure even cooking and browning.
7. End of cooking: Once the cooking time is complete, the unit will automatically switch to Keep Warm mode. You can press the Start/Stop button to stop the cooking process and remove the food from the cooking pot.
Important Precautions:
- Always use oven mitts or heat-resistant gloves when handling the unit, as it may be hot during and after cooking.
- Do not use metal utensils or abrasive cleaning materials on the cooking pot, as they may damage the non-stick coating.
- Make sure to clean the unit thoroughly after each use, following the cleaning instructions provided in the owner's guide.
