To connect the VIZIO SB2920-C6 Sound Bar to your TV, follow these steps:
1. Check the available audio output ports on your TV. The most common options are HDMI ARC, optical (TOSLINK), and analog (3.5mm or RCA).
2. If your TV has an HDMI ARC port, use an HDMI cable to connect the HDMI ARC port on the sound bar to the HDMI ARC port on your TV. This allows for both audio playback and control through a single HDMI connection.
3. If your TV does not have an HDMI ARC port but has an optical audio output, use an optical cable to connect the optical audio output on your TV to the optical input on the sound bar. Make sure to remove the protective caps from both ends of the optical cable before connecting.
4. If your TV only has analog audio outputs, you can use a 3.5mm to RCA cable or a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable (depending on the available ports) to connect the audio output on your TV to the AUX input on the sound bar.
5. Once the physical connections are made, power on both the sound bar and your TV.
6. On your TV, navigate to the audio settings menu and select the appropriate audio output option. This may be labeled as "External Speakers," "Audio Output," or similar. Choose the option that corresponds to the connection you made in step 2, 3, or 4.
7. Adjust the volume on the sound bar using either the included remote control or the buttons on the sound bar itself.
