Cleaning the Presto 6301 Dehydro Digital Electric Food Dehydrator is important to ensure its optimal performance. Here are the instructions for cleaning the dehydrator and its accessories:
1. Remove the dehydrator trays and cover from the base.
2. Wash the trays and cover in warm water with a mild detergent. You can also wash them in a dishwasher if preferred.
3. For the fruit roll trays and mesh screens, wash them in warm, soapy water. Do not wash these parts in a dishwasher. Use a soft brush if necessary to remove dried-on food particles. Avoid using steel wool scouring pads or abrasive cleaners.
4. Check the screen that covers the center hub on the base platform for any food, liquid, or grease residue. If dirty, lift it off and wash it in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly before repositioning it over the hub and snapping it in place.
5. Wipe away any food, liquid, and grease residue from the base platform using a damp cloth. Do not immerse the dehydrator base in water or any other liquid.
6. Once all the parts are clean and dry, stack the trays onto the base for storage. Turn the base upside down and wrap the cord around the center hub, securing it under the clips.
7. Store the dehydrator and its accessories in a dry, cool location away from light.
