To set up the Brother DCPL2550DW Monochrome Laser Printer, follow these steps:
1. Unpack the machine and check the components: Ensure that all the components included in the box are present. Please note that the components may vary depending on your country.
2. Remove the packing materials and install the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly: Open the front cover of the printer and remove the packing materials. Install the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly according to the instructions provided in the manual.
3. Load paper in the paper tray: Adjust the paper guides in the paper tray to fit the size of the paper you are using. Load the paper into the tray.
4. Connect the power cord and turn the machine on: Plug the power cord into the printer and connect it to a power outlet. Press the power button to turn on the machine.
5. Select your country/language (Initial setup only): If prompted, follow the on-screen instructions to set your country or language.
6. Connect your computer: Insert the installation disc into your CD/DVD drive or download the Full Driver & Software Package from the Brother website. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the necessary drivers and software for your computer.
7. Alternative wireless setup: If you prefer to set up a wireless connection, find your SSID (Network Name) and Network Key (Password) on your wireless access point/router. Enter this information when prompted during the setup process.
8. Print or scan using your mobile device: Ensure that your mobile device is connected to the same wireless network as the printer. Download the Brother SupportCenter app, Brother iPrint&Scan app, or other compatible apps to print or scan from your mobile device.
