To clean the Vornado CR1-0253-06 460 Small Whole Room Air Circulator Fan, follow these steps:
1. Grille Removal:
- Unplug the circulator before removing the grille.
- Use a screwdriver to remove the screws located on the back of the inlet grille.
- Dust or wash the front grille with a mild dishwashing soap. Do not place the grille in the dishwasher.
- Reattach the front grille by positioning it so the Vornado logo in the center is straight and replace all the screws.
2. Blade Removal:
- Unplug the circulator before removing the blade.
- Remove the nut from the shaft by turning it clockwise to loosen it. Remove the washer.
- Pull the blade straight out from the shaft.
- Wipe the blade with a damp cloth. If necessary, use mild soap or a common household cleaner. Do not use solvents or place the blade in the dishwasher.
- Reattach the blade by aligning the flat side of the shaft with the corresponding flat side on the blade's socket. Push the blade all the way onto the shaft until it bottoms out. Reinstall the nut.
3. Cleaning Tips:
- Use the brush attachment on your household vacuum cleaner to remove any accumulated dust from the front grille and air inlets.
- Do not use gasoline, thinners, solvents, ammonia, or other chemicals for cleaning.
- Do not open the appliance housing while the product is plugged in.
- Do not immerse the product in water or use it on wet surfaces.
Remember to always unplug the circulator before cleaning and follow the instructions provided in the owner's guide for safe and proper maintenance.
