To set up your Tile RE-42001 Item Locator, follow these steps:
1. Attach your Tile to the item you want to track, such as keys, wallet, luggage, phone, laptop, or even your pets.
2. Download the Tile app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
3. Open the app and tap on "Get Started" to activate your tracker.
4. Tap on "Tile Devices" and create a new account by filling out your information. Verify your new account.
5. Allow the app to use Bluetooth by tapping "OK" when prompted. This enables the activation process for your Tile tracker.
6. Press the button on your Tile tracker to start the activation process. Once you hear it ring, tap "Next" in the app.
7. Choose the category for the item you're attaching the Tile to.
8. Test the Tile by tapping "Find" in the app to make it ring.
9. To find your phone using the Tile, double-press the button on the Tile to make your phone ring, even if it's on silent.
10. Make sure to allow Tile to send you notifications for permission settings, battery changes, and Notify When Found updates. This is important for Smart Alerts and finding Tiled items.
11. Allow Tile to use your location for accurate tracking. On iOS, set your Location Permissions to "Always." On Android, set your Location Preferences to "Allow all the time." For Android 12 and later, set it to "Allow all the time," then "Precise."
12. You're all set! You can now see your Tiled item in the app and easily track it whenever needed.
