To set up the RBK13 Orbi system, follow these steps:
1. Download the Orbi app: On your mobile phone, download the Orbi app from the app store (available for iOS and Android).
2. Connect the main router: Connect the main router to your modem using the included Ethernet cable. Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the Internet port on the router and the other end into the Ethernet port on your modem.
3. Power on the main router: Plug the power adapter into the power connector on the router and then plug it into a power outlet. The router will power on automatically.
4. Sync the satellite units: Place the satellite units in different areas of your home to extend the WiFi coverage. Plug each satellite unit into a power outlet.
5. Sync the satellite units with the main router: Press the sync button on the main router for about two seconds until the LED light on the router starts blinking white. Then, press the sync button on each satellite unit for about two seconds until the LED light on the satellite turns solid white.
6. Set up the Orbi system using the app: Open the Orbi app on your mobile phone and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your Orbi system. The app will guide you through the process of creating a WiFi network name and password, configuring advanced settings, and connecting your devices to the network.
7. Verify NETGEAR Armor activation: Open the Orbi app and tap on the Security icon to check if NETGEAR Armor cybersecurity is activated. This feature helps block online threats like hackers and phishing attempts on your devices.
