To set up the ASUS GT-AXE11000 router, follow these steps:
1. Prepare your Modem:
- Unplug the power of your cable/DSL modem and remove the battery if it has one.
- Connect your modem to the WAN port at the back of the router using the provided network cable.
- Power on the modem by plugging it into a power outlet.
- Check the modem LED lights to ensure the connection is active.
2. Install your Router:
- Plug the adapter into the DCIN port of the router and press the Power switch.
- The power LED will light up when the hardware is ready.
- Via app: On your iOS or Android mobile device, go to the app store, search for ASUS Router, and download the app. Connect to the default network SSID shown on the product label on the back of the router or scan the QR code on the label to connect. Launch the ASUS Router App and follow the instructions to complete the setup.
- Or via a web browser: Connect your PC to the LAN port at the back of the router using an additional network cable. Open a web browser and navigate to http://router.asus.com. Follow the instructions in the ASUS Setup Wizard to complete the setup.
3. 2.5G Port WAN Type Setup Steps:
- Connect the modem to the 2.5G port on the router using a network cable.
- Login and Connect: Under factory default settings, select "manual setting" in the ASUS Setup Wizard and choose "2.5G Ethernet" to complete the setup of SSID and login information.
- Switching from 1G WAN to 2.5G WAN: Go to the Dashboard, open the "WAN" setting, and choose "2.5G WAN" to start using it.
