To switch between HDMI source devices and displays using the StarTech.com VS222HD4K 2x2 HDMI Matrix Switcher, you can use either the included remote control or the manual buttons on the front panel of the switcher.
1. Manual Mode: Press the Manual switch to switch between input devices from 1 to 2. The LED Port selection Indicator will light as video sources are toggled, indicating which port is selected.
2. Priority Mode: If you want the switcher to automatically switch between video sources based on priority, connect your preferred source device to Port #1 and the other source device to Port #2. When the prioritized source device is turned on, the switcher will automatically switch to that device. When the prioritized source device is turned off, the switcher will switch back to the other source device.
3. Automatic Mode: In Automatic mode, both displays will automatically switch to the most recently activated device. For example, if you are watching TV and want to switch to your Blu-ray player, simply turn on the Blu-ray player. To switch back to the TV, you can turn off the Blu-ray player or switch the TV back on after it has been switched off while the Blu-ray player was active.
4. Matrix Mode: Matrix mode allows you to output either video source to one or both of the displays. Each display is represented by a Manual Switch. Press Manual Switch #1 once to output Input 1 or twice to output Input 2. Press Manual Switch #2 once to output Input 1 or twice to output Input 2.
You can refer to the instruction manual for more detailed information on the operation and setup of the StarTech.com VS222HD4K 2x2 HDMI Matrix Switcher.
