1. Start by gathering the necessary components: an HDMI display device, an HDMI video source device, a USB power source, and two HDMI cables.
2. Open the package and ensure that you have all the included items: the EDID emulator, a USB power cable, a screwdriver, four foot pads, and the user manual.
3. Determine the appropriate mode for your application by referring to the Mode switch glossaries in the user manual. The available modes are PC mode, AV mode, and Memory mode.
4. Set the Mode switch on the EDID Emulator to the desired mode.
5. Use the Rotary switch to define the settings based on the mode selected. Refer to the Rotary switch tables in the user manual to determine the ideal settings for your application.
6. Set the Dip switches on the EDID Emulator according to your requirements. The Dip switch settings vary depending on the mode and can be found in the Dip switches section of the user manual.
7. Connect the USB power cable to the Power port on the EDID Emulator and plug it into a USB power source.
8. Connect one HDMI cable from your display device to the HDMI output port on the EDID Emulator.
9. Press and hold the EDID copy button on the EDID Emulator until the Status LED starts to flash green. Release the button, and the LED will flash green and red alternately, indicating that the EDID copy process is in progress. Once completed, the LED will turn blue.
10. Disconnect the EDID Emulator from your display and reconnect your display to the video output on the third-party equipment causing the disruption.
11. Connect an HDMI cable from your video source to the HDMI input port on the EDID Emulator.
12. Connect another HDMI cable from the EDID Emulator's HDMI output port to the video input port on the third-party equipment causing the disruption.
13. Verify that the signal has been corrected by viewing your display.
