To switch between HDMI sources using the Gefen GTV-HDMI1 4x1 Switcher for HDMI, you have three options:
1. Using the IR Remote Control Unit:
- Point the IR remote control at the IR sensor on the front panel of the switcher.
- Press the corresponding input source selection button (1-4) on the remote control to select the desired HDMI source. The selected source will be displayed on your TV.
2. Using the Select Button on the Rear Panel:
- Locate the Select button on the rear panel of the switcher.
- Press the Select button to cycle through each input source. Each press will switch to the next HDMI source in sequence.
3. Using RS-232 Control:
- Connect a computer or control automation device to the RS-232 interface on the rear panel of the switcher.
- Send RS-232 commands to the serial port to control the switcher. Refer to page 12 of the user manual for details on the commands and their corresponding results.
Note: The switcher also has an auto-switching feature. If a new source is connected or turned on, the switcher will automatically switch to that input. It will revert to the previous input once the current device is turned off or disconnected. The remote and input select button will always allow manual switching.
