To connect the HD2A HDMI Audio Extractor to your audio receiver or speakers, follow these steps:
1. Connect the HDMI source device (e.g., Blu-ray player, computer) to the HDMI input port of the HD2A using an HDMI cable.
2. Connect the HDMI output port of the HD2A to your display or TV using another HDMI cable.
3. Connect the USB power cable to the USB power source port on the HD2A. This can be a computer or a USB power adapter.
4. Connect the other end of the USB power cable to a USB power source.
5. If you want to use the SPDIF audio output, connect the included Toslink adapter to the 3.5mm analog and SPDIF output port on the HD2A.
6. Connect your SPDIF audio cabling to the adapter.
7. If you want to use the 3.5mm audio output, simply connect your 3.5mm audio cable to the 3.5mm analog output port on the HD2A.
8. Finally, connect the other end of your audio cabling (SPDIF or 3.5mm) to your audio receiver or speakers.
Please note that if the output of your destination device plays static with no audio, you may need to adjust the audio output settings on your source device to PCM (Pulse-code modulation). Refer to the manual of your HDMI source device for instructions on how to change this setting.
