Programming the Motorola RMU2080D Two-Way Business Radio is made easy with the Customer Programming Software (CPS) included with the radio. Here are the steps to program the radio:
1. Install the Customer Programming Software (CPS) on your computer. The software can be downloaded from the Motorola Solutions website.
2. Connect the radio to your computer using the programming cable provided with the radio.
3. Launch the Customer Programming Software (CPS) on your computer.
4. Select the appropriate COM port for the radio connection.
5. Once connected, you can customize various settings such as channel frequencies, PL/DPL codes, voice alias, and more.
6. Make the desired changes to the settings in the CPS software.
7. After making the changes, click on the "Write to Radio" button to transfer the programmed settings to the radio.
8. Disconnect the radio from the computer once the programming is complete.
