To connect the JBL BAR5.0 Multibeam Soundbar to your TV, you will need an HDMI cable or an optical cable, depending on the available ports on your TV. Here are the steps to connect the soundbar:
1. Identify the available ports on your TV: Check if your TV has an HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) port or an optical audio output port. These are the most common options for connecting a soundbar.
2. HDMI connection:
a. Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC port on your TV.
b. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC port on the soundbar.
c. Make sure the HDMI-CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) feature is enabled on both your TV and the soundbar. This allows for seamless control of the soundbar using your TV remote.
3. Optical connection:
a. Connect one end of the optical cable to the optical audio output port on your TV.
b. Connect the other end of the optical cable to the optical input port on the soundbar.
4. Power on the soundbar and TV: Plug in both the soundbar and the TV to power outlets and turn them on.
5. Select the correct input source: Use your TV remote or the soundbar remote to select the appropriate input source. If you connected the soundbar using HDMI ARC, select the ARC input on the soundbar. If you used an optical connection, select the optical input.
6. Adjust audio settings: Use the soundbar remote to adjust the volume and other audio settings according to your preference.
