To connect your laptop to the InFocus Genesis IN112AA DLP Multimedia Projector, follow these steps:
1. Make sure both your laptop and the projector are powered off.
2. Locate the VGA cable included in the box. One end of the VGA cable has a blue connector, while the other end has a larger connector with three rows of pins.
3. Connect the blue VGA connector to the VGA input port on the back of the projector.
4. Connect the larger end of the VGA cable to the VGA output port on your laptop. This port is usually located on the side or back of your laptop and may be labeled as "VGA" or have a monitor icon next to it.
5. Once the cable is securely connected, power on both your laptop and the projector.
6. On your laptop, press the appropriate key combination (usually Fn + F4, Fn + F5, or Fn + one of the function keys with a monitor icon) to switch the display output to the projector. Refer to your laptop's user manual for the specific key combination.
7. The projector should now display the content from your laptop. If the image does not appear, press the "Source" or "Input" button on the projector's remote control to select the VGA input source.
8. Adjust the focus and zoom of the projector, if necessary, to ensure a clear and properly sized image.
