To pair the Aeon Labs Home Energy Meter with a Z-Wave network, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the Home Energy Meter is not currently paired with any Z-Wave network. If it is already paired, you will need to remove it from the network before proceeding.
2. Press the button on the Aeon Labs Z-Stick or the "Include" button on the Aeon Labs Minimote to begin the Z-Wave inclusion process. This will put the Z-Wave network into inclusion mode, ready to add new devices.
3. After inserting 4 AA batteries into the Home Energy Meter, press the button located near the batteries. This will initiate the pairing process.
4. If the pairing is successful, the LED on the Home Energy Meter will be lit solid after pressing the button. This indicates that the energy meter has been successfully included in the Z-Wave network.
Note: If the LED blinks after pressing the button, it means that the Home Energy Meter was not successfully included in any Z-Wave network. In this case, you may need to repeat the pairing process or troubleshoot any potential issues.
