Installation Steps for the Aluratek ASHS01F Smart Wall Light Switch:
1. Turn Off the Power: Locate your home's electrical panel and turn off the power to the circuit where the switch will be installed. This step is crucial for safety.
2. Remove the Old Switch: Remove the screws from the wall plate and take it off. Use a voltage tester to confirm that there's no current. Disconnect the wires from the old switch.
3. Install Aluratek ASHS01F Smart Switch: Attach the wires to the Aluratek ASHS01F Smart Switch as specified in the product manual. Typically, the wires would be color-coded. Make sure to attach the neutral wire, usually white. xxxx in the smart switch into the same electrical box, ensuring it's straight and secure. Attach the wall plate over the switch and secure it with screws.
4. Turn On the Power: Turn the power back on from the electrical panel and use the voltage tester to ensure the switch is getting power. Double-check that the switch is functioning properly.
