According to the user manual, the filter in the Filtrete FAP-ST02N Air Purifier should be replaced approximately every 6 months. However, the actual filter life may vary depending on the conditions in your home. The filter life indicator on the device will show the percentage of filter life remaining. When it reaches 0%, it's time to change the filter. It is important to note that using the air purifier in environments with tobacco smoke, candle burning, construction work, sanding projects, wood burning stove or fireplace smoke, or pets in the home may decrease the filter's life. Regularly checking the filter for damage or blockage is also recommended.
