Installing the Modern Forms FR-W1802 Smart Ceiling Fan is a straightforward process. Here are the step-by-step instructions:
1. Before starting the installation, make sure to turn off the power to the existing ceiling fan or light fixture at the circuit breaker.
2. Remove the existing ceiling fan or light fixture. Disconnect the wires and remove any mounting hardware.
3. Install the included mounting bracket to the electrical box in the ceiling using the provided screws. Make sure the bracket is securely attached.
4. Attach the fan motor to the mounting bracket using the provided screws. Ensure that the motor is properly aligned and securely fastened.
5. Connect the wires from the fan motor to the corresponding wires in the electrical box. Use wire connectors to secure the connections. The wiring should follow standard electrical practices, with the black wire connecting to the live/hot wire, the white wire connecting to the neutral wire, and the green or bare wire connecting to the ground wire.
6. Attach the fan blades to the motor using the provided screws. Make sure the blades are evenly spaced and securely attached.
