To set up the SCS Enterprises WF-404HAC Low Light Spy Camera for remote viewing, please follow these steps:
1. Unbox the camera and choose a strategic indoor location where it will capture the desired view while remaining discreet.
2. Ensure that there is an outlet nearby as the camera operates on direct AC power. Connect the camera to the power source.
3. Turn on the camera. There is usually an indicator light to show that it is active. If the camera has a reset button, press and hold it for a few seconds to initiate a fresh setup.
4. Using your smartphone or computer, search for available Wi-Fi networks.
5. Connect to the camera's Wi-Fi network. This network may be labeled with the model name or a specific code provided in the manual.
6. Open the camera's designated app or software on your device.
7. Once connected, the software will guide you through a series of setup steps. This may include naming your camera, setting the date and time, adjusting video quality, and setting motion detection zones.
8. You will also have the option to connect the camera to your home or office Wi-Fi network for remote viewing.
9. Once connected to the internet, you can watch over your home or business from anywhere using a smartphone (Android & iOS), PC, or tablet.
10. Activate motion detection if you want the camera to record only when there is movement. You can specify zones in the camera's field of view where motion detection is active, helping to avoid false alarms.
11. Depending on your settings, the camera will save recordings to its internal memory. Access these recordings via the app or software. You can play, delete, or save them as needed.
12. Set up push notifications on your mobile device to alert you of any detected motion or other specified events.
