To set up the D-Link DCS-942L Enhanced Wireless Network Camera for the first time, follow these steps:
1. Connect the camera to your router using the provided Ethernet cable.
2. Connect the power adapter to the camera and plug it into a power outlet.
3. Wait for the camera to power on and initialize. The power LED will turn solid green.
4. Install the mydlink Lite app on your smartphone or tablet from the App Store or Google Play Store.
5. Open the app and create a mydlink account if you don't already have one.
6. Tap the "+" icon to add a new device and select "Scan QR Code" or "Scan Barcode."
7. Use your device's camera to scan the QR code on the camera or enter the camera's MAC ID manually.
8. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the camera to your Wi-Fi network. Make sure you enter the correct Wi-Fi password.
9. Once the camera is connected to your Wi-Fi network, you can unplug the Ethernet cable.
10. The camera will automatically appear in the mydlink Lite app, and you can start viewing the live video feed.
