Programming user codes on the Kwikset 914 Keypad Smart Lock is a straightforward process. Here's a step-by-step guide:
1. Ensure the lock is unlocked and the door is open.
2. Press the program button on the interior side of the lock once. The keypad will flash green and the lock will beep.
3. Enter the master code (default is "123456") followed by the pound (#) key.
4. Press the number "1" key on the keypad.
5. Enter a new user code of your choice (between 4 and 8 digits) followed by the pound (#) key.
6. Repeat step 5 to program additional user codes, up to a maximum of 30 codes.
7. To delete a user code, repeat steps 1-4, then press the number "2" key instead of "1". Enter the user code you want to delete followed by the pound (#) key.
8. To exit programming mode, press the program button once.
Note: It's important to keep track of the user codes you program and ensure they are securely shared with authorized individuals. For added security, consider changing the default master code to a unique code of your choice.
