To add a new user code to the Kwikset 99050-004 Keyless Entry Lock, follow these steps:
1. Press the PROG button on the lock.
2. You will hear 2 long beeps.
3. Press 12 on the keypad.
4. Press the PROG button again.
5. You will hear 1 short beep.
6. Enter a new 4-8 digit User Code on the keypad.
7. Press the PROG button again.
8. You will hear 1 long beep if the programming was successful. If you hear 3 beeps, it means the programming was unsuccessful. Repeat the steps slowly from the beginning.
9. To test the new user code, press the lock/unlock button on the keypad. The latch will extend to lock the door.
10. To unlock the door, enter the new user code on the keypad and press the lock/unlock button. The latch will retract to unlock the door.
