The Samson C01 Studio Condenser Microphone requires phantom power to operate. Phantom power is commonly available on most quality mixers, outboard mic-pres, and hard disk recorders. If your equipment does not have built-in phantom power, you can use an external phantom power supply. To power the C01, simply connect it to a mixer or microphone input that provides phantom power. Ensure that the phantom power is turned on, which is usually indicated by a switch on the mixer. When phantom power is present, the blue LED on the C01 will illuminate.
