Sure! Here are the step-by-step instructions for installing the August SL03-C02-G03 Smart Lock Connect Hub:
1. Before starting, confirm the compatibility of your deadbolt at august.com/compatibility.
2. Prepare your existing deadbolt by using the supplied adhesive strip to hold the keyed side of the lock in place.
3. Unscrew and remove the screws from your existing deadbolt thumbturn. If there is an additional back plate, remove that as well. Be sure to unlock your deadbolt before removing the thumb turn entirely.
4. Prepare the mounting plate by removing the screws from the thumbturn and inserting them into the front of the mounting plate. The mounting plate has two adjustable xxxx holes that can be repositioned as needed.
5. Attach the mounting plate to the door by tightening the screws by hand until the mounting plate is secured against the door.
6. Select the appropriate adapter from the Compatibility Chart provided in the manual. If your lock brand is not listed, slide each adapter onto the tailpiece to find the right one. The correct adapter will have the small nub pointing up.
7. Place the correct adapter onto the tailpiece with the small nub pointing up.
8. Pull out both side wing latches on the August Smart Lock Pro to prepare for mounting.
9. Slide the August Smart Lock Pro over the tailpiece and attach it to the mounting plate. Make sure the back of the lock is flush with the door. To secure the August Smart Lock Pro, clamp down both side wing latches to the mounting plate completely.
10. Press down on the August logo located at the bottom of the faceplate. Grab the top of the faceplate and remove it.
11. While holding the batteries in place, remove the plastic battery isolation tab. Ensure that the battery is properly seated in its compartment.
12. Place the faceplate back onto the August Smart Lock Pro, with the August logo at the bottom.
13. Install the DoorSense Sensor, which enables your lock to know when the door is open and closed. Refer to the provided link in the manual for detailed instructions on installing the DoorSense Sensor.
14. Download and install the August Home app on your smartphone. Select "Get Started" from the home screen or, if already logged in to the app, select "Set Up a Lock" from the main menu.
