To unlock the Yale YRD226-HA2-619 Touchscreen Deadbolt, you have two options. You can either enter your 4-8 digit PIN code on the backlit touchscreen keypad or use the physical keys provided with the lock. Here's how to unlock the deadbolt using each method:
1. Unlocking with PIN Code:
- Approach the lock and wake up the touchscreen by touching it lightly.
- The backlit touchscreen keypad will illuminate.
- Enter your personalized 4-8 digit PIN code using the touchscreen keypad.
- Once you've entered the correct code, the deadbolt will retract, and you can turn the thumbturn or handle to open the door.
2. Unlocking with Physical Keys:
- Locate the physical keys provided with the lock.
- Insert one of the keys into the keyhole on the exterior assembly of the deadbolt.
- Turn the key clockwise to unlock the deadbolt.
- Once unlocked, you can turn the thumbturn or handle to open the door.
Please note that if you forget your user PIN code, you can always use the physical keys as a backup to unlock the door. Additionally, make sure to keep the physical keys in a secure location for emergency access.
