To set up the AcuRite 615RX Display for the 3-in-1 Weather Sensor, follow these steps:
1. Set the A-B-C Switch: Locate the A-B-C switch inside the battery compartment of both the display unit and the sensor. Set the A-B-C switch to the same letter (A, B, or C) on both units to ensure they synchronize.
2. Install or Replace Batteries: Remove the battery compartment cover on the display unit and insert 3 x AA alkaline batteries, following the polarity diagram. Replace the battery cover.
3. Set the Time & Date: Press and hold the "SET" button on the back of the display unit for 3 seconds to enter SET MODE. Use the "UP" and "DOWN" buttons to adjust the currently selected item (flashing) and press the "SET" button to save each adjustment. The preference set order is: TIME ZONE, DST (Daylight Saving Time), CLOCK HOUR, CLOCK MINUTE, CALENDAR YEAR, CALENDAR MONTH, and CALENDAR DATE.
4. Select Measurement Units: Use the "SCALE" button on the back of the display unit to toggle between U.S. standard units and metric units for temperature, barometric pressure, and wind speed.
5. Placement for Maximum Accuracy: Place the display unit in a dry area free of dirt and dust, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure the display unit and sensor are within 330 feet (100 m) of each other. Avoid placing them near large metallic items, thick walls, or electronic devices that may interfere with wireless communication.
