To connect your AcuRite 06086 Professional Weather Display to Wi-Fi and upload data to Weather Underground, please follow these steps:
1. Create a Weather Underground account: Before setting up the Wi-Fi connection, you will need to create an account on the Weather Underground website (wunderground.com).
2. Add the weather station to your Weather Underground account: Log in to your Weather Underground account and go to the My Profile menu. Select My Devices and click on Add New Device. Choose "AcuRite Iris (5-in-1) Weather Station with Wi-Fi" from the device type dropdown list. Follow the prompts to enter location information and complete the setup. Make sure to copy and save the provided Weather Underground Station ID and Station Key.
3. Power on the display: Plug in the power adapter included with the display to power it on.
4. Connect to the display's Wi-Fi network: On your Wi-Fi-compatible device, open the Wi-Fi settings and select the network with "AcuRite" in its name. Ignore any "unsecure network" warnings as it is safe to continue. Note that you will not have internet access while connected to this network.
5. Access the AcuRite Wi-Fi display setup page: Open a web browser on the device connected to the display's Wi-Fi network. In the address bar, type "192.168.4.1" and press enter. If the setup page does not load, ensure that you are still connected to the AcuRite Wi-Fi network and try again. If the issue persists, unplug the display, plug it back in, and try setup again. If you still encounter problems, contact AcuRite Support.
6. Enter Wi-Fi network details: Once the setup page loads, select your personal Wi-Fi network name from the list, enter your network password, and then enter the Weather Underground Station ID and Station Key obtained in Step 2. Press Save to save the Wi-Fi credentials.
7. Verify Wi-Fi connection: If the Wi-Fi credentials are successfully entered, the Wi-Fi indicator on the display will stop flashing and become solid, indicating a successful connection to your Wi-Fi network. If the Wi-Fi icon continues to flash with a flashing "X", repeat steps 3-4 to ensure a proper connection.
8. Data upload to Weather Underground: Once connected, the display will automatically begin uploading data from your AcuRite Iris (5-in-1) sensor to Weather Underground. You can monitor the sensor data remotely on the Weather Underground website (wunderground.com) or through the Weather Underground app on your mobile device.
Note: The Wi-Fi signal on the display is broadcasted for 30 minutes after powering on. Press the " " button to reactivate the Wi-Fi signal broadcast at any time. Keep in mind that the display will not indicate if its Wi-Fi signal is broadcasting, so check your device's Wi-Fi settings for the display's network.
