To set up the ACURITE 00249DI Sportsmans Weather Station, please follow these steps:
1. Unpacking Instructions:
- Remove the protective film from the LCD screen by locating the tab and peeling it off.
2. Package Contents:
- The package should include the display unit, outdoor sensor, and instruction manual.
3. Setup Instructions for the Outdoor Sensor:
- Slide off the battery compartment cover on the outdoor sensor.
- Insert 2 x AA batteries into the battery compartment, following the polarity diagram.
- Replace the battery cover securely.
4. Setup Instructions for the Display Unit:
- Slide the stand off the bottom of the display unit.
- Slide off the battery compartment cover on the display unit.
- Insert 3 x AA batteries into the battery compartment, following the polarity diagram.
- Replace the battery cover and stand.
5. Intelli-Time Technology:
- The clock is pre-programmed with the correct time and date.
- Select your time zone and daylight saving time preferences for automatic self-setting and adjustment.
6. Placement for Maximum Accuracy:
- Place the display unit in a dry area free of dirt and dust.
- Place the outdoor sensor outside in an area protected from direct weather elements.
- Hang the sensor using the integrated hanger or by using string to hang it from a suitable location.
- Ensure that the display unit and outdoor sensor are within 165 ft (50 m) of each other.
- Keep both units at least 3 ft (.9 m) away from electronic devices to prevent wireless interference.
7. Synchronization:
- The sensor will synchronize with the display unit, which may take a few minutes to complete.
