To set the time and date on the La Crosse Technology 512-85937 Atomic Digital Wall Clock, follow these steps:
1. Insert 2-AA batteries into the Outdoor Sensor and 2-AA batteries into the Atomic Clock.
2. Enter the Settings Menu by holding the SET button until the display changes.
3. Use the + or - buttons to adjust the values. Hold the buttons to adjust quickly.
4. Press and release the SET button to confirm the values and move to the next setting or exit the menu.
5. The Settings Menu order is as follows: Atomic Time ON/OFF, Time Zone, Daylight Saving Time ON/OFF, 12/24 Hour Time Format, Hour, Minutes, Year, Month, Date.
6. For the Time Zone setting, choose the appropriate time zone abbreviation (e.g., AST for Atlantic, EST for Eastern, CST for Central, MST for Mountain, PST for Pacific, AKT for Alaska, HAT for Hawaii).
7. For the Daylight Saving Time setting, keep it ON if your area follows DST, or turn it OFF if your area does not follow DST.
8. Once you have set the Year, Month, and Date, the weekday display will adjust automatically.
9. After setting the time and date, the clock will search for the Atomic Time Signal at specific times. You can also manually start or stop the search by holding the (-) MINUS button.
10. The Atomic Time Signal Icon will flash while searching and be solid when it has connected.
