To install the batteries in the AcuRite 06104M weather station sensor, follow these steps:
1. Locate the outdoor sensor battery compartment.
2. In the battery compartment, you will find an A-B-C switch. Take note of the channel that the A-B-C switch is set to.
3. Install four AA alkaline or lithium batteries into the battery compartment. It is recommended to use lithium batteries for temperatures below -4ºF (-20ºC).
4. After installing the batteries, make sure the A-B-C switch on the sensor matches the channel designation on the display. You can confirm the channel designation by navigating to the "Connections" option in the main menu of the display.
