To connect the PSUFM1070P DJ Passive Speaker System to an amplifier, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the amplifier is turned off and unplugged from the power source.
2. Locate the speaker wire connections on the back of each PSUFM1070P speaker. These are typically spring terminals labeled as "+" and "-".
3. Strip the insulation from the ends of your speaker wire to expose the bare copper.
4. Insert the bare wire into the corresponding spring terminals on each speaker. Ensure that the positive (+) wire is connected to the positive terminal and the negative (-) wire is connected to the negative terminal.
5. Tighten the spring terminals to secure the speaker wire in place. Make sure the wire is firmly connected and there are no loose strands.
6. Connect the other end of the speaker wire to the corresponding speaker outputs on your amplifier. Again, match the positive and negative terminals.
7. Once all connections are made, double-check that everything is securely connected.
8. Turn on the amplifier and adjust the volume to a low level.
9. Gradually increase the volume to your desired level, taking care not to exceed the recommended power handling of the speakers.
10. Test the sound by playing audio through your amplifier. If the sound is distorted or weak, check the connections and ensure the amplifier is compatible with the speaker system's power requirements.
