To connect microphones or instruments to the Recordio GAX-802D 8-Channel Digital Audio Mixer, follow these steps:
1. Identify the type of input you will be using. The GAX-802D has four XLR microphone inputs and four line-level inputs.
2. For XLR microphone inputs, use XLR cables to connect your microphones to the corresponding XLR input jacks on the mixer. Make sure to securely plug in the cables, ensuring a tight connection.
3. For line-level inputs, use appropriate cables (such as 1/4" TRS or RCA cables) to connect your instruments or audio sources to the line-level input jacks on the mixer. Again, ensure a secure connection.
4. Adjust the input levels for each channel using the corresponding gain knobs or trim controls. Start with the levels set to a low position and gradually increase them until you achieve the desired audio level without distortion.
5. If you are using condenser microphones that require phantom power, activate the phantom power (+48V) switch for the corresponding microphone input channels. This will provide the necessary power for condenser microphones to function properly.
6. Once your microphones or instruments are connected and the input levels are set, you can further customize the sound using the mixer's EQ controls, effects, and other processing features.
Please refer to the user manual for more detailed instructions and illustrations on connecting microphones and instruments to the GAX-802D mixer.
