Setting up the Nexia Bridge is straightforward. Here are the step-by-step instructions:
1. Unbox the Nexia SK102 Intelligence Bridge Kit and ensure that all included components are present.
2. Locate a suitable power outlet in a central area of your home.
3. Plug the Nexia Home Bridge (BR100) into the power outlet using the provided power adapter.
4. Connect the Nexia Bridge to your wireless router using the included 10/100 Ethernet Cable. Make sure the other end of the cable is connected to an available Ethernet port on your router.
5. Optionally, if you want the flexibility to move the Nexia Bridge around when adding new Z-Wave devices, you can insert a 9V battery into the Nexia Bridge.
That's it! Your Nexia Bridge is now set up and ready to connect and control your smart devices.
Note: It's important to have a wireless router and active Internet service for the Nexia Bridge to function properly. Additionally, remote access to your devices requires a Nexia remote management subscription, which costs $9.99 per month.
