To adjust the temperature on the Impress IM-12B Basic Clothing Iron, follow these steps:
1. Locate the temperature control dial on the iron. It is usually labeled with international textile protection symbols and can be found near the handle of the iron.
2. Pre-sort your garments based on the fabric type and the recommended ironing temperature. The symbols on the temperature control dial correspond to different fabric types, such as rayon, acrylic, silk, wool, cotton, and linen.
3. Turn the temperature control dial to the appropriate setting for the fabric you are ironing. For example, if you are ironing cotton or linen, set the dial to the high-temperature setting. If you are ironing silk or wool, set it to the medium-temperature setting. And if you are ironing rayon or acrylic, set it to the low-temperature setting.
4. Allow the iron to heat up to the selected temperature. The temperature pilot light on the iron will illuminate while the iron is heating up and will turn off once it reaches the preset temperature.
Note: It is important to follow the garment's care instructions and use the appropriate temperature setting to avoid damaging the fabric.
