To connect the CP8 subwoofer to your audio system, you have two options: low-level input connection and high-level input connection.
1. Low-Level Input Connection:
- Locate the LINE IN RCA jacks on the CP8 amplifier (Fig. 1F).
- Connect the CP8 to your stereo receiver or audio source using an RCA cable. You can use either a mono or stereo RCA cable, depending on your setup.
- If your receiver does not have a strong enough signal level, you can use both RCA inputs on the CP8 to obtain a higher signal level.
- If you want to connect satellite speakers to the CP8, you can use the LINE OUT RCA jacks (Fig. 1E) to connect to another amplifier. The LINE OUT RCA outputs a high-pass filtered signal at around 70Hz.
2. High-Level Input Connection:
- The CP8 has a high-level input connection (Fig. 1J) that allows you to connect it directly to your main or front speakers.
- Choose one of the front speakers that is closest to the subwoofer for ease of wiring.
- Connect a wire from the speaker's positive terminal to the CP8's red high-level input terminal, and connect a wire from the speaker's negative terminal to the CP8's black high-level input terminal.
- The high-level input for satellite speakers is fitted with a high-pass filter at 70Hz. It is only powered when the main or front speaker signals are driven into the high-level input.
Note: Do not use high-level and RCA inputs at the same time.
Please refer to the user manual for additional information and illustrations on the connection options and settings.
