The installation process for the JBL CSS8018 Ceiling Speaker is straightforward and can be done by following these steps:
1. Prepare the Ceiling: Ensure that the ceiling or grids where the speaker will be installed are prepared and meet local building codes.
2. Install Tile Rails: Use the CSS-TR4/8 tile rails and secure them to the ceiling or grids as required by local building codes.
3. Attach Back Can: Position the CSS-BB8 back can and secure it to the tile rails using the M4 x 8 mm machine screws. There should be four screws, one for each thru-hole in the back can.
4. Prepare the Speaker: Take the CSS8018 speaker and align it with the back can.
5. Secure the Speaker: Use the M4 x 40 mm sheet metal screws to secure the speaker to the back can. Install the xxxx through the thru-hole in the speaker and xxxx it into the clip nut in the back can.
6. Final Check: Once all components are secured, perform a final check to ensure everything is tightly fixed and complies with local building codes.
7. Test the Speaker: Before closing up, test the speaker to make sure it's working as expected.
Please note that it's important to always install the speaker in accordance with applicable electrical and building codes. For a visual reference and more detailed instructions, please refer to the JBL CSS8018 Ceiling Speaker User Manual.
