Connecting the Herdio 501BX2 speakers to your audio source is a straightforward process. Here are the step-by-step instructions:
1. Unbox and inspect the speakers to ensure there is no visible damage during shipping.
2. Choose a location for the speakers. They can be installed in your backyard, deck, near the pool, under the eaves, and more. Make sure the location is close enough to your audio source and there is a power source nearby if you're connecting to an amplifier or receiver.
3. Mount the speakers using the versatile swivel brackets provided. These brackets allow for a range of motion up to 120 degrees, ensuring the best sound directionality. Mark the spots on the wall or ceiling where you'll place the brackets. Drill holes and securely fix the brackets, making sure to check the weight-bearing capacity if installing on the ceiling.
4. Connect the speakers to your audio source using the provided speaker wires. The red speaker cable is for the positive terminal, and the black cable is for the negative terminal. Ensure the plastic part of the speaker cable doesn't go into the terminals, as this may prevent the speakers from producing sound.
5. Connect the other end of the speaker wires to your audio source, such as an amplifier, receiver, or music system, respecting the same color code (red to positive, black to negative).
