To connect the Movo AM100 2-Channel Microphone Audio Mixer to your recording device, please follow these steps:
1. Plug your microphones or audio sources into their respective input channels on the mixer. The AM100 has two microphone inputs, allowing you to connect two microphones simultaneously.
2. Connect the mixer's output to your recording device, amplifier, or camera. The AM100 features a 3.5mm TRS output connector for use with cameras and recorders, as well as a 3.5mm TRRS output connector for use with mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. Choose the appropriate cable or adapter to connect the mixer's output to your specific recording device.
3. Once the connections are made, you can proceed to set the input levels. Adjust the input gain knobs on the mixer to the desired level for each microphone, ensuring that the signal neither clips nor distorts. It is recommended to utilize headphones or monitor speakers for real-time audio monitoring while adjusting the input levels.
4. After setting the input levels, you can further adjust the audio balance between the two channels using the mixer's control knobs. This allows you to achieve the desired mix between the two microphones. Additionally, the AM100 offers a stereo/mono switch, which allows you to quickly toggle between stereo and mono recording modes to match your recording requirements.
5. If you want to monitor the audio in real-time, you can attach headphones to the mixer's headphone jack. This enables you to listen to the audio being recorded and adjust the headphone volume to your preference.
6. Once you have configured the mixer settings to your satisfaction, you can initiate your recording or broadcasting session using your recording device.
