To connect the Electro-Voice RE50N/D-B microphone to your audio equipment, follow these steps:
1. Locate the XLR connector on the bottom of the microphone. The XLR connector is a three-pin connector commonly used in professional audio applications.
2. Identify the XLR input on your audio mixer. The XLR input is usually labeled with a microphone symbol and may be color-coded.
3. Take the male end of an XLR cable and insert it into the XLR connector on the bottom of the microphone. Ensure that it is securely connected.
4. Take the female end of the XLR cable and insert it into the XLR input on your audio mixer. Again, make sure it is securely connected.
5. If your audio mixer has multiple XLR inputs, select the input that corresponds to the channel you want to use for the microphone.
6. Adjust the gain or volume control on your audio mixer for the microphone channel to achieve the desired level of audio.
7. Test the microphone by speaking into it and monitoring the audio output on your audio mixer. Make any necessary adjustments to the gain or volume control to optimize the audio quality.
Note: The Electro-Voice RE50N/D-B microphone does not require phantom power, as it is a dynamic microphone. Therefore, you do not need to activate phantom power on your audio mixer for this microphone.
