To connect the Logitech X-540 speaker system to your computer, follow these steps:
1. Position the speakers: Place the two front satellite speakers on either side of your computer monitor, the rear left and right satellite speakers behind you, and the front center speaker on top of your monitor or desk.
2. Connect the satellite speakers: Insert the colored plug from each satellite speaker into the corresponding colored jacks on the back of the subwoofer.
3. Connect to your computer's sound card: If you have a 6, 7, or 8 channel sound card, connect all 3 colored plugs from the audio input cable to the color-coded jacks on the sound card. If your sound card jacks are not color-coded, use the following connections:
- Green plug to front L/R (or #1)
- Black plug to rear L/R (or #2)
- Orange plug to center/sub (or #3)
If you have a 4-channel sound card, connect the green plug from the audio input cable to your sound card's front jack and the black plug to your sound card's rear jack. Do not use the orange plug.
If you have a 2-channel sound card, connect the green plug from the audio input cable to the "line out" jack on your sound card. Do not use the black or orange plugs.
4. Plug in the power cord: Plug the subwoofer's power cord into an electrical outlet.
5. Enjoy your speakers: Use the controls on the wired remote control to adjust the volume, bass level, and other settings.
