To connect the Yamaha NS-333 bookshelf speakers to your amplifier, follow these steps:
1. Before making any connections, ensure that the amplifier is switched off.
2. Use a speaker cable to connect the xxxx -type input terminals at the rear of the speaker to the speaker output terminals of the amplifier or receiver.
3. Connect the (+) terminal on the amplifier or receiver to the (+) terminal on the speaker using one side of the cable.
4. Connect the (-) terminal on the amplifier or receiver to the (-) terminal on the speaker using the other side of the cable.
5. Make sure not to reverse the polarity (+, -) when connecting the speaker to the center terminals of the amplifier or receiver. Reversed polarity can result in unnatural sound and lack of bass.
6. To connect the speaker cable, remove the insulation coating at the end of each wire by twisting it off.
7. Loosen the terminal xxxx on the speaker.
8. Insert the bare wire into the terminal.
9. Tighten the xxxx to secure the cable. Test the firmness of the connection by lightly pulling on the cable at the terminal.
10. If you are using banana plugs, tighten the terminal xxxx and simply insert the banana plug into the terminal.
Note: Be careful not to let the bare speaker wires touch each other to avoid damaging the speaker or the amplifier.
