Cleaning the lint filter of the Hot Tools 1023PLV6 Turbo Ionic Hair Dryer is an important maintenance step to ensure optimal performance. Here is how you can clean the lint filter:
1. Unplug the appliance from the power source.
2. Remove the End Cap by rotating it counterclockwise until it detaches from the dryer. Note that the End Cap may hinge downward or upward instead of rotating and may not be completely removable from the dryer.
3. Remove dust and lint from the internal lint filter using a brush, your fingers, or a vacuum cleaner.
4. If your dryer has a lint filter attached to the Removable End Cap, clean that filter in the same manner, removing dust and lint from both the inside and outside of the filter.
5. To replace the End Cap, align the End Cap's tabs with the indentations inside the back grill of the hair dryer. Rotate the end cap clockwise until it locks into place.
Regularly cleaning the lint filter will help extend the life of your hair dryer and prevent it from overheating and shutting off.
