To set up the Ring A19 Smart Light Bulb, follow these steps:
1. Download the Ring app: Search for "Ring" in your app store or visit ring.com/app to download and install the app on your smartphone or tablet.
2. Set up your Ring Bridge: The Ring Bridge is required to connect your Ring Smart Lights to the Ring app and other compatible Ring devices. Make sure you have a stable Wi-Fi network available and have your Ring Bridge and smartphone/tablet with the Ring app ready. Open the Ring app, tap the menu icon, select "Set up a device," choose "Lighting," and then select "Ring Bridge." Follow the on-screen instructions to plug in and set up your Ring Bridge, including scanning the QR code on the back of the Bridge. Wait for the Ring Bridge to connect to your Wi-Fi network.
3. Add Lights to Your Ring Bridge (Optional): If you have Ring Smart Lights or other compatible lighting devices, you can add them to your Ring Bridge. In the Ring app, go to the dashboard, tap on your Ring Bridge, select "Light Group Setup," and follow the on-screen instructions to add your Ring Smart Lights to the Ring Bridge.
4. Choose a location: Determine where you want to install your A19 bulb. If the desired socket is hard to reach, you can set up the bulb in an easily accessible socket and then move it to the desired location later.
5. Turn off the power: Before continuing, make sure to turn off the power to the light fixture.
6. Remove the old bulb: Turn the old bulb counterclockwise to remove it from the socket.
7. Set up your A19 in the Ring app: Open the Ring app, tap "Set Up a Device," select "Smart Lighting," and follow the in-app instructions to install your Smart bulb. Restore power to the bulb so it can connect to the Bridge during setup.
8. You're all set! Once your bulb is set up, keep your light switch ON. You can control your light directly from the Ring app, set schedules, and link your bulbs to other devices.
