To connect your TV to the Sony HT-XT1 Home Theatre System, follow these steps:
1. Make sure your TV and the HT-XT1 are turned off.
2. Locate the HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) port on your TV. This port is usually labeled "ARC" and is often found on the back or side of the TV.
3. Connect one end of an HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC port on your TV.
4. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT (TV ARC) port on the HT-XT1.
5. Turn on your TV and the HT-XT1.
6. On your TV, go to the settings menu and navigate to the audio settings.
7. Select the audio output option and choose "HDMI ARC" or "Audio System" as the output source.
8. Adjust the volume settings on the HT-XT1 and your TV to your desired levels.
Note: If your TV does not have an HDMI ARC port, you can use the optical input on the HT-XT1 to connect the TV using an optical cable. Simply connect one end of the optical cable to the optical output on your TV and the other end to the optical input on the HT-XT1. Then, select the optical input on the HT-XT1 using the remote control.
