To connect an external microphone to the Boss VE-5 Vocal Performer Effect Processor, follow these steps:
1. Locate the microphone input on the VE-5. It accepts both XLR and ¼" microphone inputs.
2. If your microphone has an XLR connector, use an XLR cable to connect the microphone to the XLR input on the VE-5. Make sure to securely connect the cable to both the microphone and the VE-5.
3. If your microphone has a ¼" connector, use a ¼" cable to connect the microphone to the ¼" microphone input on the VE-5. Again, ensure a secure connection on both ends.
4. Once the microphone is connected, you can adjust the input level using the [MIC LEVEL] xxxx on the VE-5. Start with a lower level and gradually increase it until you achieve the desired volume without any distortion.
5. You can also adjust other settings such as effects, harmony, and tone using the various knobs and buttons on the VE-5 to further enhance your vocal sound.
