To connect audio sources to the FP-MX4 mixer, follow these steps:
1. Identify the type of audio source you want to connect (microphone or line-level).
2. For microphone sources, use balanced or unbalanced cables to connect the microphones to the corresponding input terminal blocks on the mixer. Each input section has a detachable terminal block for easy connection.
3. For line-level sources, use balanced cables to connect the line-level devices to the input terminal blocks on the mixer.
4. The FP-MX4 mixer provides four identical input channels, each with a source selection switch. Use the source switch to select the appropriate input type: LINE (line level at +4 dBu), MIC (microphone level without phantom), or MICPH (microphone level with 24 V phantom).
5. Each input channel also has a separate MIC GAIN switch to adjust the microphone gain. Choose from three gain ranges: LOW (35 dB – 45 dB), MED (45 dB – 55 dB), or HIGH (55 dB – 65 dB).
6. Repeat the above steps for each audio source you want to connect. The FP-MX4 mixer allows you to use any combination of four sources simultaneously.
7. The mixer provides both a balanced line output (+4 dBu) and a balanced microphone output (-45 dBu). Use the detachable terminal block for the audio outputs to connect the mixer to amplifiers, recording devices, or other audio equipment.
Note: It's important to refer to the FP-MX4 mixer's manual for specific wiring and connection details, as well as any additional guidelines or recommendations provided by RDL.
