To connect speakers to the Crown 180MA Mix Amplifier, follow these steps:
1. Identify the type of speaker system you are using. The Crown 180MA supports both 4-ohm and constant-voltage (70V and 100V) speaker systems.
2. For a 4-ohm speaker system:
a. Locate the Amplifier Outputs connectors on the back panel of the amplifier.
b. Use a 4-position terminal strip with COM (Common) and 4-ohm terminals.
c. Connect the COM terminal to the speaker's negative (-) lead.
d. Connect one of the other terminals (4-ohm) to the speaker's positive (+) lead.
3. For a constant-voltage speaker system (70V or 100V):
a. Locate the Amplifier Outputs connectors on the back panel of the amplifier.
b. Use a 4-position terminal strip with COM (Common), 70V, and 100V terminals.
c. Connect the COM terminal to the speaker's negative (-) lead.
d. Connect the appropriate terminal (70V or 100V) to the speaker's positive (+) lead.
4. Ensure that the speaker wires are securely connected to the terminal strip and that the connections are tight.
5. Repeat the above steps for each speaker you want to connect to the amplifier.
Note: It is important to use the appropriate wire size based on the distance between the amplifier and the speakers. Refer to the wire size chart provided in the manual to determine the correct gauge for your setup.
